Pumpkin Carving Palooza

We were ambitious this year and decided to host a pumpkin-carving party. For those of you who don’t know us very well, you should know that the most we ever do to welcome a guest is provide them with a solo cup of wine. But this year, we decided to go big, Martha Stewart big! Here are a couple of photos from our festivities.

We found a few creeps climbing up our wall.

Googly-eyed sangria cups – told you we went big.

‘Blood’ Sangria made with severed hands (aka frozen plastic gloves)

Don’t worry, we made treats too. These bacon-wrapped dates were crowd pleasers!

They went so fast we almost didn’t have time to take a picture of the final product!

The beginning of s’mores brownies. We definitively ate a significant amount of the toppings before they even went in the oven.

So deadly

Apple pies…. in apples.

First prize went to the winking pumpkin.

Here all the recipes from our party:

Blood Sangria

Bacon Wrapped Dates

Blue Cheese Crackers

Apple Pies

S’mores Brownies

I love a red wine sangria around Halloween. The deep color is so festive. Looks like you had a lot of fun with the spooky decorations!

S’mores brownies. Oh my gouda. Sounds like heaven. I love the idea of wine in a Solo cup. I’ve done the same at parties. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯
